Das Orosí Tal und das Turrialba Tal gelten als die schönsten Täler Costa Ricas. Trotz dessen, dass sie sehr verschieden sind, sind beide geprägt vom Reventazón River, welcher zum Einen im Orosí Tal zum Cachí-Damm angestaut wird, und zum Anderen im Turrialba Tal gemeinsam mit anderen Flüssen zum sogenannten Damm Angostura.

Beide Dämme versorgen Costa Rica mit elektrischer Energie. Die Tour in dieses Tal beinhaltet den Besuch der Ruinen der Ujarras Kirche (die ältesten noch stehen Ruinen einer Kirche in ganz Costa Rica, einen Ausflug zu „La Casa del Soñador“, ein rustikaler Ort, wo lokale Holzschnitzer Kaffeeholz schnitzen; Forellenfischen (wenn gewünscht) und verschiedene Panoramablicke.

Ihr Fahrer wird zum Mittag bei einer Fischzuchtanlage Halt machen, wo Sie frische Forelle – selbst gefangen- im Restaurant Casona del Cafetal genießen können, einem etwas eher förmlichen Restaurant mit Blick über den Cachí Damm.

Optional ist auch ein Besuch des Tapantí Nationalparks möglich, welcher die spektakuläre Schlucht des Reventazón Rivers kreuzt, ebenso wie ein Besuch der Kirche des Franziskaner Mönchsklosters von Orosí oder Schwimmen in Thermalbädern. Diese Tour kann auch mit einem Besuch der Lankester Gärten kombiniert werden, oder einem Ausflug zum Vulkan Irazú oder einer Kaffeetour in der Nähe, um eine volle Tagestour zu gestalten.

For lovers of scenic beauty. The Orosí valley and the Turrialba valley are Costa Rica´s most beautiful valleys. Although very different, both are dominated by the Reventazón River which is dammed in the Orosí valley to form the Cachì dam and in the Turrialba valley, together with other rivers, it is dammed to form the Angostura dam.

Both dams provide Costa Rica with electrical power. The tour to this valley includes a visit to the Ujarras church ruins (the oldest standing church ruins of the country), a visit to ‘La Casa del Soñador’, a rustic place where local woodcarvers carve coffee wood; trout fishing options (if wanted) and different panoramic view spots. Your driver will stop for lunch at the fishing farm, where you can eat the fresh trout –your own catch-, of at Casona del Cafetal restaurant, a more formal restaurant overlooking the Cachi dam.

You may also ask for an optional visit to TapantíNational Park, crossing the spectacular gorge of the Reventazón river, a visit to the Franciscan monastery church of Orosí and optional swimming in thermal pools. This tour can be combined with a visit to the Lankester gardens, or a visit to the Irazú Volcano or a nearby coffee tour , to make it a long day tour.
